it's okay to find beauty in the broken
it's quite alright to witness it in the decay
but i never managed to see where the beauty was in giving up.
birds that can still fly are beautiful too.
listen:
i want to lie in fields of flowers with you and make peace with boredom.
i want to call you at 3:00 am after i wake up from a nightmare.
i want to sing to you a song i wrote about cardinals and squirrels and mousey girls
that can't play soccer
but can still love.
my friend is helping me build a rocketship
i'll reach you in the sky.
listen:
you used to call me your beautiful cardinal
then you called me Anja
now you don't call me at all.
listen:
you're worth more than numbers on a page.
you're more than a series of equations on a board.
your soul is capable of so much more.
never stop breathing.
listen:
she has emeralds in her eyes
and butterflies in her stomach
and something blocking her throat
but all she wants is some love.
listen:
go to her
now.
listen:
i want to be your reason why
i want to be the sparkle in your eye
i wish that every rainfall promised a rainbow
and that every smile was genuine.
read:
because i'm too afraid to ever actually sing.

Both as a piece and as an expression of something more than literature.
Like we were saying; maybe it makes for a good image in art, but we were never the types to find beauty in giving up.
There's beauty in sad things, yes, but not in giving up.
I'm glad you're beautiful. You won't give up.
It reminds me of the impression of Link's fairy you did earlier this week, with the "LISTEN! LISTEN! This is a tree! LISTEN! this is a rock!" (only difference is that what's written here after the "Listen!" is a little more useful than what the fairy actually talks about).
I like this, it's a very pretty piece.
because i'm too afraid to ever actually sing.
I love that.
And I'm still left wondering, who're you talking to at the end. Little things that hold onto you even after you leave...

Whats up?
But wishing stars,
and little men from mars.
you write beautifully
Thank you <3

Everything I love between us will get us through the night
All the things we lost will teach us see the pretty things in life
I know how you feel right now,
losing dreams you've come to care about.
